Here is an overview of the Hire to Retire Process that starts from the requisition for a new position, and talks about all the essential HR Processes on a broad level.

The Hire-to-retire process below mentions some of the major pieces in the puzzle that will help you understand how an HR system integrates to do various operations and what important processes are part of the HR suite of applications. In this diagram i have taken Oracle HRMS and related applications to distinguish some of the process areas. Hope this will come in handy when you are putting all the HR applications into perspective.
